Thank you both so much for making my stay so comforable. You have a lovely
house and it was a real pleasure to meet you both and talk 'diving'. I
hope to be back soon with the family for another visit - find me a new

Wonderful welcome in the Scillies
Recently my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our fourth visit to
the superb peace and quiet that is the Isles of Scilly, once again accommodated
by Carmen and Todd at Colossus, Pilot's Retreat.
Very doubtful if you could discover a more friendly pair of people on St
Mary's and Todd's new book is a real pleasure.
But I write to award a public pat on the back to a volunteer gardener at
the island's beaurtifl (free) garden at Carreg Dhu. Learning I had a dodgy
knee, he was typically island-kind in running us both to Carn Vean Restaurant,
but utterly refused any petrol money for his effort.
Such is the friendship, welcome and personality of island people; something
a lot of mainlanders could learn form. Thanks again, Scillies - we'll be
back!

16.3.09 - The whole visit was a joy. Starting
with the new invigorating experience of the helicopter. St Mary's is ideal
for walking, with roads and paths to every corner. Hospitality everywhere
was excellent, with Carmen's breakfast and pub/restaurant evening meals,
we found lunch superfluous. We were so fortunate with the weather and
to be looked after by a couple of the islands's celebrities. Many thanks

were the first B&B we picked up from the net and certainly there is
no looking back. Itgs been the most satisfactory and relaxed stay with
you here; a very comfortable, cosy and stylish decor you have here whic
is definitley 5 stars. We will cherish the breakfast chat about Todd's
discoveries and Carmen's recommendations for our daily planning for our
lovely 3 day stay. We will definitley come back here and send more friends
